Collection: Poi - Spinning Poi

Spinning poi (or simply poi) are a type of flow toy used for performance art, movement, and dance. They originated with the Māori people of New Zealand and have since evolved into a global practice in the flow arts community.

Poi consists of two tethered weights (one held in each hand) that are swung in circular patterns around the body. The motion can be simple or highly complex, involving rhythmic patterns, spins, weaves, and wraps.  They can be simple balls, LEDs, sandbags or might be simply a sock with a tennis ball.
