Artwork Guidelines

Mougee Star Artwork Requirements & Production Process Overview

We want your finished Mougee Star to look as close to your original artwork as possible. Providing a clear, high-quality file helps us preserve the colors, lines, and special details in your design.

Before your Mougee Star is made, you will receive a proof to review and approve.

Artwork Requirements

For the best results, please submit artwork that meets these guidelines:

  • Preferred artwork size: 25" Ă— 25"
  • Minimum artwork size: 20" Ă— 20"
  • Preferred resolution: 300 DPI
  • Minimum resolution: 250 DPI for simple line drawings
  • Accepted file formats: JPG, PNG, or PDF
  • Preferred color mode: CMYK

Please send us the largest and clearest version of your original artwork. If you have an original design file or vector file (such as AI, EPS, SVG, or vector PDF), please include it as well.

Do not enlarge, sharpen, trace or run your artwork through an AI enhancement tool before submitting it. These changes can make it harder for us to accurately reproduce the original design.

For our largest size, the 50" Beast Star, a larger file may be needed to achieve the best result.

If you are unsure whether your artwork meets these requirements, please contact us. We are happy to review it before production begins.

Important Information About Vector Conversion

To manufacture your Mougee Star, we need to prepare your artwork in a format called a vector file. A vector file can be enlarged without becoming blurry.

If you submit a JPG, PNG, photograph, or scanned drawing, we may need to convert it into a vector file before production.

Vector conversion is not a generative AI process, and we do not use AI to redesign your artwork. It is a production step that turns the image into clean shapes and lines that our manufacturer can use.

During this process, the software and production artist may need to interpret parts of the artwork that are blurry, very small, lightly shaded, textured, transparent or difficult to see clearly. Because of this, some details may appear smoother, simpler, more solid or slightly different after conversion.

We will not intentionally change your creative design. If any adjustments are needed to make the artwork suitable for production, you will see them in your proof before your Star is made.

Please compare the proof carefully with your original artwork and let us know if anything does not look right. We will not begin production until you approve the final proof.

If you already have an original vector file, please send it with your artwork. This gives us the best chance of preserving your design exactly as you created it.

What Happens After You Submit Your Artwork?

1. We Review Your File

First, we check the size, resolution, colors, and overall quality of your artwork.

If the file is too small or unclear, enlarging it may cause some lines and details to look blurry. If we see an issue that could affect the finished Mougee Star, we will contact you.

2. We Prepare Your Artwork for Production

Our manufacturer needs the artwork in a special format called a vector file. Vector files allow a design to be enlarged without becoming blurry.

If you send us a JPG, PNG, scanned drawing, or photograph, your artwork may need to be converted into this format.

This is not a generative AI process, and we do not use AI to redesign your artwork. However, the conversion process may need to interpret areas that are blurry, very detailed, lightly shaded, or difficult to see. This can sometimes make details look smoother, simpler, or more solid than they appeared in the original artwork.

We will not intentionally change your creative design. Any changes created during preparation will appear in the proof you receive before production.

Sending an original vector file, when available, is the best way to reduce changes during this step.

3. You Review a Proof

Before your Star is made, we will send you a digital proof showing the artwork that will be sent to our manufacturer.

Please compare the proof carefully with your original artwork. Be sure to check:

  • The design and placement
  • Lines, shapes, and small details
  • Text and spelling
  • Colors and shading
  • Any areas that look smoother, simpler, or different

If something does not look right, please let us know. We will make the requested changes and send you another proof to review.

Your Mougee Star will not go into production until you approve the final proof.

4. Your Mougee Star Goes Into Production

After you approve the proof, we will send that approved artwork to our manufacturer.

Please keep in mind that colors can look different on a screen than they do on a finished product. Materials, inks, lighting and the printing process can also cause slight differences in color or placement.

We will do our best to make the finished Star match the approved proof as closely as possible, but an exact color match cannot be guaranteed.

Final Approval

By approving the final proof, you confirm that you have reviewed the complete design and are ready for us to make your Star using that artwork.

Once production begins, changes may no longer be possible.
